As a trumpet player I have made a number of appearances in some incredibly different places, from regular ANZAC and Rememberance Day performances with the Toorak RSL, to performing on the roof of Flinders Street Station in Melbourne for the Y2K New Year celebrations. I’ve found myself on stage with orchestras, concert bands and small ensembles and hidden under stages performing in theatre productions. I’ve worn a turkey costume and played Christmas carols around Sydney Airport and have played a few times in the Chinese New Year Night Parade in Hong Kong.
I currently play with the Funk Buddies, an eight-piece New Orleans style street funk band. From 2004 to 2011 I played with the Itchy Feet Pep Band, Australia’s favourite comic marching band. While in the band I had various roles including Musical Director and Manager. In 2008 I took thirty performers to Hong Kong for the annual Chinese New Year Night Parade.
In recent years I have performed in orchestras with Melbourne’s leading theatre companies; CLOC, Windmill and NOVA among others, and have performed in a variety of shows and genres… Miss Saigon, Les Mis, Cabaret, Chicago, Man of La Mancha, Cats, Seussical, Thoroughly Modern Millie and many more.
I’m available to perform at funerals, weddings, corporate functions, in pit orchestras, jazz bands, orchestras and other ensembles. I also have a huge range of contacts and can put you in touch with other groups across Australia. Please feel free to contact me to see what I can do for you!
